The Federation's main objective is to push governments to respond to students' issues and concerns. Through regular contact with elected and non-elected officials and large scale public campaigns the Canadian Federation of Students' message is conveyed to government.
Over the years, the Federation has become a strong presence on Parliament Hill and in provincial legislatures across the country. Federation representatives meet regularly with elected and non-elected government officials, and frequently make presentations to government committees and task forces. Across the country the Federation runs high profile campaigns on issues ranging from transit to funding and tuition fees.
